There were daddies all along the wall in the back.For everyone to meet.The children squirming impatientlyanxious in there seats. One by one the teacher called, students from her class, They introduced they're daddies, As seconds slowly passed. At last the teacher called her name, Every child turned to stare, Each of them searching for who was not there. "Where is her daddy at?" she heard a boy call out. 'She probably don't have one." another dared to say. Looks like another deadbeat dad to busy to waste his day. The words did not offend her as she smiled at her mom. then looked at the teacher, who urged her to go on. |
